Residents attended the exhibition on the m6 held at Sandbach town hall ,long discussions were held with representatives from the highways regarding the high noise levels and pollution emanating from the motorway.

On Friday the 24th July Kate Beirne and Julian Gill the project directors for the m6 scheme met with several residents at their homes in oak tree lane, Cranage to discuss the noise levels and pollution, Kate Beirne assured residents that they were concerned about the levels and would be holding discussions with senior colleagues along with Jacobs the firm responsible for the design elements, but she also stated that the pollution problem was something that Cheshire East should be taking action on, she couldn’t give any firm decisions at this time but stated that she along with the highways people was receptive to finding a solution if it was in budget and indeed possible.

Residents will be asking Cheshire East what they intend to do about the pollution levels, that are above the safe levels set down. They wait to see what the m6  highways decide to do.

Doing nothing is not an option!
