Date set for hearing

The controversial Sibelco silica sand planning application for the Rudheath Lodge site that effects Cranage, Goostrey Allostock and Holmes chapel will be heard in the Capesthorne Room at Macclesfield Town Hall 10.30am on 4th April 2018, over 300 residents opposed the original application and 260 opposed this second application.

Attached is the Cheshire East case officer’s report which frustratingly recommends that the application should be approved. This recommendation will be robustly challenged by Cranage Parish Council and the Residents Against Quarrying community group at the planning hearing.

Everyone is welcome to attend the planning hearing and the visible support from the concerned community can only create a positive impression upon the planning committee.
