Please accept this e mail as the latest update in relation to the proposed Silica Sand Quarry in Cranage, Goostrey and Allostock within the Rudheath Lodge Farmland.
The latest position is that Cheshire West and Chester Council have rescinded their original permission for Cheshire East Council to deal with the entire application and as such Sibelco will now have to submit a separate planning application to Cheshire West and Chester Council whilst Cheshire East Council will now have to further delay the progression of the planning application already submitted to them under planning reference number 16/4724W. The last date for objections to be submitted has been extended yet again to 31st January 2017. Please see the link below to peruse the significantly high number of objections submitted to date and a big thank you to everyone who has contributed:
As you may or not be aware Cranage Parish Council are yet to submit a formal objection to the planning proposal. This stance is in complete contradiction to neighbouring Parish Councils who have submitted formal objections having taken into account the concerns of their parishioners.
The next Cranage Parish Council meeting takes place at 7.30pm on Tuesday 10th January 2017 in Cranage Village Hall and we would urge all interested parties to attend. The attached leaflet will provide you with some additional information. Please feel free to cascade far and wide!
If you are unable to attend the meeting itself but wish to register any views in relation to the current Parish Council stance then please e mail the Parish Clerk on firstname.lastname@example.org and copy the local Cheshire East Councillor email@example.com
