M6 update from RAG
RAG would like to inform you of further developments which have taken place.
Miller Goodall who were recently appointed by the Parish Council with the co-operation of RAG to formulate the technical questions required to be put to Highways England under a freedom of information request, have notified RAG that they can no longer proceed to carry out this work, due to a possible conflict of interest as they have also worked with Jacobs, Highways England’s engineers. This was raised but dismissed in initial discussions with Miller Goodall and so this latest development came as a surprise and disappointment and has caused further delay.
RAG have since researched and been in discussions with another company Apex Acoustics of equal standing to carry out the work and have requested the Parish Council to approve the change and place an order to them, the costs are no more than the original estimates.
We have also requested our MP Fiona Bruce to research government documents to try to obtain more information over the 1994 details, that stated there was a noise problem in Cranage and proposed a suitable fence to protect Cranage residents.
RAG are still actively seeking donations from residents to make up the shortfall required of £1650 to carry out the second part of the detailed analysis that will be required, if you can help in anyway no matter how small a donation it will be gratefully received.
If you can donate to the fund then you can do so safely using the blue button below, just enter an amount and press the button then follow the instruction on screen
Payment can be made to Residents’ Action Group via BACs using the details above. Please give a reference to indicate from who the payment is from (name plus house number and road name) is suggested, to enable identification for us to refund donations if required.
