Dated 6th January 2016

I met this morning with andrew jones MP, the minister responsible for roads.

The minister listened carefully and committed to looking again at the situation, saying

‘ we will go back to Highways England, and ask them to look at their plans again in light of residents’ concerns regarding noise and environmental impact to see that proposed measures are robust.

This is to include both the period of the works and running afterwards, when the scheme is complete.’

I will let you know when I receive a response from the minister

Kind regards

Yours sincerely

Fiona Bruce MP

Comment

I wait with anticipation but I expect that highways will respond in their usual way that they have done everything that’s required based off their table top computer generated statistics

Which we all know is flawed information.

As far as I am aware Highways England have not made any further site visits to directly engage with residents to address the concerns we all have.

Cheshire east likewise have not made any effort to arrange any meetings with residents despite requests for same.
