Rag set the wheels in motion to obtain the data under a freedom of information request over the harmful noise levels and pollution from the M6

Rag announced today they are to commission the specialist company Miller Goodall to obtain the data from highways England and to compare it with the data that was used in 1994 that at that time stated there was a problem over noise, and to mitigate it a noise fence was to be erected to protect residents of Cranage.

RAG still require to raise the balance of £1200 to complete the work to analyse the data when it’s received. They have issued an update set out below requesting for contributions.

April 20th 2018            Update on progress

Dear Resident

The RAG committee met today to discuss where we are at and further steps to be taken.

Sufficient funds have been received from residents  for RAG to place the instructions to Miller Goodall the specialist company, for them to carry out the first part of establishing what noise data is relied on by Highways England, and the receptor points used. This will be actioned immediately.

This is only the first step and we still need to raise funds for the data obtained from this work to be analysed and compared to the 94 data. We urgently still require £1200.00 to complete this work.

We are very concerned that time is important and that we need to urgently progress this matter before the smart motorway is completed in  March 2019.

Its regrettable that Barclays took 5 weeks to set up the bank account , a delay we could have done without.

RAG would be most grateful for any donation however small towards this funding that you feel you can help with. And you can do so here online securely
