Our friends at Byley have alerted us to the proposed changes planned for the Buchan’s site at the end of Kings Lane.

A planning application has been submitted on behalf of McCann Ltd who are based in Northern Ireland and taken over the site.

The plans are for a massive increase in the size and planned operation on the site – we are advised they are planning to more than double the output.

The Proposal ’16/02475/FUL

Erection of new production shed, 6 travelling crane, concrete skip rail and additional product storage areas.  Retention of a lorry and plant storage area, relocation of staff parking and welfare facilities, the provision of a pedestrian walkway, security fencing, security lighting, landscaping including groundwoks and provision of additional drainage infrastructure.

You really need to read the rest on the attached PDF here

If you have read the above PDF and you are concerned then come to a meeting with Councillor Mark Stocks

Byley Village Hall – Thursday 30th June at 7pm

To discuss the application and what we should do about it, NOTE the larger the public presence will show our real concern.

If you can’t then please ensure you write in any objections or submit them here against the proposed Planning application

If you have not seen some of the issues caused so far then
